Now more than ever, DeMarcus Cousins is ready to show his doubters that he can still play at a high level and stay healthy while doing so.
For the second-straight offseason, Boogie has signed a one-year deal to prove himself after his only season with the Warriors was marred by inconsistent play and yet another injury as he went down in the 11st round and wouldn’t return into the NBA Finals.
In the first photo of him after signing on with the Lakers — Cousins is looking less bulky and more skinny than any other time since he’s been in the league.
Boogie has already set a goal to play all 82 games during the 2019-2020 season. The weight will certainly help with that as he won’t be carrying around so much extra weight anymore.
His goal should be to show off his skills and be the dominant big man that he was before he got injured as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers could certainly use him come playoff time.
