Delonte West is not a name that fans hear around sports related topics, unless it’s regarding taking shots at LeBron, but he was certainly thrust into the spotlight a few days ago when a photo surfaced of him sitting on a corner that had people thinking he was broke and homeless.
His supposed cousin saw that photo and took a little bit of time to address what he has been going through since he was a child and it makes the situation even worse.
West was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, but always maintained he was misdiagnosed. The 36-year-old last played basketball in 2015 when he was playing in the D-League.
A video surfaced back in 2016 showing the former NBA guard asking for money outside of a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant while walking around barefoot. He claimed at the time that he was helping a paralyzed homeless man.

“I was helping a homeless man in my neighborhood that’s paralyzed from neck down. I parked my car and got out to help because it was 90 degree weather and i was feeling blessed at the moment for just having legs.”
He infamously applied for a job at Home Depot during a lockout season back in 2011 and there is no word on if that is what he is doing today.
