The downfall of former NBA standout Delonte West continues to be heartbreaking with every video that comes out showing him on the streets.
The former 24th overall pick in the 2004 draft played eight seasons in the league before things took a turn for the worst.
Though West shined on the court, he suffered in silence. West was struggling mentally and it only got worse as he career continued. West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008.
Earlier this week, Delonte West got into an encounter with a young fan who wanted to know his story and how he played next to LeBron. In the video, you can hear the young fan ask if West was in 2K and then the ex-guard proceeded to tell the kid to keep working hard and he can be just like LeBron James and any other star in the NBA.
Longer video of the encounter has West also speaking to the mother of the kids as he revealed he had been living in a storage. She would soon give him $5 during their interaction.
