The Los Angeles Lakers might have suffered the most upsetting loss this season after blowing off a twenty-point lead against the Nuggets in Game 2 of the playoffs. The loss devastated everyone on the Lakers squad, including Anthony Davis.
While every Laker had his own way of expressing their disappointment from their recent loss, Anthony Davis decided to take it out in a post-game interview. The Lakers star stated, “We have stretches where we don’t know what we’re doing on both ends of the floor.” He disclosed that the Lakers have been struggling on the court for an extended period and were unable to identify the root cause.

The head coach of the Purple and Gold dismissed the big man’s statements as mere words out of frustration. “I just think that sometimes when plays do not turn out the way you think they should, the frustration sets in a little bit,” said Ham. The coach labeled Davis’ small rant as a frustrated outburst.
Ham further added, “We pride ourselves on being highly efficient and very organized. I just chalk that up to frustration. It is an emotional game—the way it ended and all of that. But I will agree to disagree on that one.” Ham explained that the Lakers’ coaching management prides itself on being highly efficient and organized. Meanwhile, Ham also agreed to disagree with Anthony Davis’ statements.

This season, the Los Angeles Lakers’ performance has by no means been the best. They struggled at the start of the season but gathered themselves together in the inaugural in-game tournament. However, they quickly fell apart once the tournament was over and barely made it to the playoffs.

Now, in the post-season, the Lakers have lost two games of their first-round series against the Nuggets. Losing the first two games has already put them in a very bad situation. The Nuggets now have a stronghold on the series, and they only need to win one more game to win it. For the Lakers, it is a do-or-die situation, and they need to win Game 3 to stay alive in the post-season. Anthony Davis was spotted expressing displeasure with Darwin Ham in Game 2.
Anthony Davis was seen sitting on the bench during an instance of the game. Darwin Ham soon arrived and sat in front of Davis. He probably started dishing out instructions, after which Davis sat up and left. If the Purple and Gold fail to make it through the first round of the playoffs, this could be the last season we see Ham coaching them.
