Teams interested in Portland Trail Blazers’ superstar and future Hall of Famer Damian Lillard better be willing to pay a king’s ransom.
According to a report from Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian, the Trail Blazers are asking for the mammoth price of “two quality players” and four first-round picks:
“The Blazers, according to NBA sources, are seeking in the neighborhood of four first-round picks and two quality players. But accomplishing that could require adding a third team to the equation.”
Last week it was reported that Lillard requested a trade from the only NBA team he’s ever played for. The No. 6 pick of the 2012 NBA Draft is a seven-time All-Star who has led Portland to eight postseason appearances, highlighted by a trip to the 2019 Western Conference Finals.
It has been widely reported that Lillard is only willing to play for the Miami Heat. Lillard’s agent, Aaron Goodwin, expressed optimism to Fentress that a deal with the reigning Eastern Conference champions can be reached:

“I had a positive conversation with (Trail Blazers GM) Joe (Cronin) and I made it clear that Damian would want (the Blazers) to sit down and have a meaningful negotiation with Miami. And I think that’s something that Joe and the Blazers will do.”
The super duo of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo led Miami to a surprise trip to the NBA Finals this past season as a No. 8 seed. But Miami’s lack of scoring depth outside of those two was greatly exposed by the superior Denver Nuggets, who ousted the Heat in five games to claim the franchise’s first championship.
Adding a superstar playmaker and scorer of Lillard’s caliber would greatly enhance Miami’s chances of winning that coveted fourth NBA title. Now we wait and see if they can actually close out the deal for the future Hall of Famer.
