Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has responded to the rife speculation surrounding his expected exit with a cryptic social media post.
It’s believed that the seven-time NBA All-Star wants to be traded to the Miami Heat and will not be happy with any other deal. ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that Lillard’s agent is looking to get his client to his preferred destination via any means necessary and is letting other teams know they should not try to trade for him.
Said agent, Aaron Goodwin, did not deny the claim when asked about it this week.
“I do what I should for my client. Some teams I did call. Other teams have called me,” he was quoted as saying. “It’s a respectful relationship with most teams. Truthfully, he wants to play in Miami. Period.”
Lillard seemed to respond to the reports with a two-worded tweet on Thursday night. “I’m amazed,” he wrote.
Pressed for clarification, he replied: “At how people could know so much and so little at the same time,” Lillard tweeted.

The Blazers would like to facilitate a move to Miami too, however, they aren’t going to just give him away. It’s been reported that as many as five other franchises have lined up to help Miami get the deal done via a multi-team affair.
