Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard issued a trade request, and he reportedly wants a deal “specifically” to the Miami Heat. While it has been widely reported that Damian Lillard wants to go to South Beach, the Miami Heat is making things known to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Heat have offered anyone on the roster except Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
“They basically have loaded up one of those Pods dumpsters in front of the Trail Blazers and said, ‘Take anyone out of here you want besides Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler,”‘ Winderman said. “Maybe they’ll go back and forth on Caleb Martin a little, but it’s basically sort of, ‘Come and pick and choose. Tell us what you want. Anything else is yours.’ The Heat are all in on this. This is their moment.”
There have been concerns about what and how much the Blazers can get for Lillard considering his unwavering stance to only join the Heat.
The Blazers are reportedly “not impressed” with the Heat’s offer and have zero interest in them trying to add shooting guard Tyler Herro to the deal.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Portland is looking for “maximum value” in a trade for Lillard and will take time to find better offers elsewhere on the market. Any deal involving Herro would need to involve a third team given the Blazers’ reported lack of interest of him, Wojnarowski added.

Lillard has received criticism for “running from the grind” after requesting Portland trade him to the Miami Heat. He has spent his 11-year career with the Trailblazers, but it has become time for both sides to part ways with each other.
The Trailblazers made the Western Conference Finals once during Lillard’s stint with the team.
