Damian Lillard is always watching.
The Portland Trail Blazers star guard got his first taste of the Western Conference Finals this past postseason, but it would end in a sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.
He already has an argument as the best player in Portland Trail Blazers history, and the team clearly sees him as that, which is why they decided to compensate him well for his services.
It was reported back in May that Lillard was expected to sign a four-year, $191 million supermax deal with Portland this offseason.
Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe is not a fan of Lillard getting so much money, as he believes it’s hurting the Blazers in the long run. He also took some other shots about the star guard not winning a title during his career.
Lillard eventually came around to see those comments and fired right back at Shannon Sharpe and his thoughts about what he’s making money-wise.
