When Damian Lillard pulled up from almost 40 feet out to end Game 5 of the Trail Blazers’ Western Conference first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it sent the social media into a frenzy and it became an epic moment that won’t soon be forgotten.
Lillard finished with 50 points in the 118-115 victory.
None of that mattered to Paul George after the game. The OKC Thunder star, who guarded Lillard on that final shot, was asked in the post-game press conference about that game winner and he had a rather salty reply.
“Yeah, that’s a bad shot,” George, who finished with 36 points in the loss, said. “I don’t care what anyone says. That’s a bad shot. But he made it. That story will be told that it was bad shot and you have to live with it.”

I mean, if a guy just torched your team for 50 points and epic game winner, you’d try to minimize it as well. But the fact still remains that Lillard’s shot will live on in infamy, especially the wave goodbye to OKC’s season.
