Damian Lillard wants NBA teams to stop disrespecting Carmelo Anthony.
The last time we saw Melo on the court was in November as a member of the Houston Rockets. His career there lasted 10 games before they decided to pull the plug on that experiment.
He would soon be traded to the Chicago Bulls and eventually waived. Nobody picked him up and he still remains a free agent right now.
The Portland Trail Blazers star guard took to Twitter on Monday and campaigned for Melo to get signed.
When someone told him that the Blazers should sign the forward, he explained why he can’t come to Portland:

This came after Anthony’s trainer Chris Brickley said the veteran doesn’t even care about being a starter, he just wants “a final season” in the league like Dwyane Wade had this past year:
