Damian Lillard does not like the conversation surrounding one of his former teammates.
After a photograph of Lillard’s former teammate, Caleb Swanigan, went viral because of his weight gain, some people took it upon themselves to either make fun of him or put extra emphasis on how he got so big in a short amount of time.
Lillard addressed both groups via an Instagram comment.
“If you’re gonna post this shit with real concern then that’s cool. But don’t ask “how does one go from this to that”, he’s clearly having some real life issues,” Lillard wrote.
Swanigan hovered around the 260 pound range last season in the NBA, but now he is said to weigh over 400 pounds.

Swanigan and Lillard shared the court for merely 13 games in the 2019-20 NBA regular season, but that was clearly enough to create a strong enough bond for him to speak out in his defense.
