Last Tuesday, 19 children and two teachers were killed in a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. It was yet another heartbreaking moment in this country that will likely end with nothing being done to make sure it does not happen ever again.
The Dallas Mavericks had already held a moment of silence at a home playoff game after the shooting, but the franchise wanted to honor the victims one more time, but this time, on social media.
There were a lot of great options to choose from, but the Mavericks chose the worst one.
“In collaboration with @dallasnews, we went silent on social media for 21 minutes to honor the victims of the Uvalde shooting,” the Mavericks tweeted Tuesday afternoon.
You read that correctly. The team went silent on Twitter for 21 minutes.
