It only took one game into the series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets before controversy would kick off.
During Game 1, there were easily several missed calls on Klay Thompson that were missed when he slid under James Harden shooting 3’s that resulted in several points from the free throw line that directly changed the outcome of the game.
Well, that game just got even controversial when somebody noticed that one of the refs were dawning Kevin Durant’s sneakers during Game 1.
This very well might not mean anything, but during an intense playoff game, everything is looked at through a microscope and it doesn’t look good for the notion that the Warriors get favorable calls from refs.
To avoid things like this, there needs to be an NBA rule where refs aren’t allowed to wear shoes of a player during a game they are getting ready to officiate.
