In the summer of 2018, Kevin Love signed a massive four-year, $120 million contract extension to remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Love has been riddled with various injuries ever since.
Teammate Collin Sexton has taken noticed of his unavailability and made his thoughts clear when social media noticed he ‘liked’ a tweet indicating Love has essentially stolen money from the franchise.
Love has played in only four games so far this season due to a calf injury. Last year, he played in 56 games.
Despite his unavailability, his $31.3 million for the 2020-21 campaign is more than the likes of Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Ben Simmons, and Bradley Beal, all of whom were selected to this month’s All-Star Game.
Love has averaged 16.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while shooting 42.9 percent from the field since signing his deal.
