Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard suffered a right knee injury during the 2023-24 NBA playoffs. Although the new season is underway, Leonard has yet to make his season debut due to this injury. However, he recently participated in practice sessions, which has excited fans. Additionally, Head Coach Tyronn Lue praised Leonard by comparing him to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue recently appeared on Draymond Green’s show. During the conversation, he discussed coaching LeBron James on the Cavaliers and building his legacy. He also drew a parallel between Kawhi Leonard and James.
Lue noted that Leonard was not a shooter during his debut season. However, he quickly developed into a corner shooter and improved at shooting. Lue pointed out that Leonard is now a 40% three-point shooter and continues improving over time. He highlighted that James has experienced similar growth throughout his career.
“Same with LeBron. He came in the league and he wasn’t a shooter. Now he shoots 40% from three. He put the work in and so they remind me a lot of each other, like I said, when it comes to that work ethic, putting that work in and get to where they want to get to.’” Lue said.
