Alex Caruso made a name for himself with the Lakers in his 4-year stay with the franchise. The former NBA champion was undrafted when the Lakers snapped him up from the OKC’s G-League team.
Playing for the Lakers means you will have specific ties to Kobe Bryant. A tattoo featuring the late great went viral on social media on Sunday, and many believed Alex Caruso did it.
But the Bulls guard clarified the rumors with an IG story in which he wrote, “Not my leg y’all” followed by a crying emoji. Caruso shared a post from Sportscenter showing the tattoo to debunk the rumors. The tattoo depicted Kobe Bryant’s famous pose with the Larry O’Brien trophy after the Lakers beat the Sixers in the 2001 NBA Finals.
While Caruso never got the chance to play alongside Kobe, as the five-time NBA champion retired just before the year, the Texas alum joined the franchise. Caruso, though, got the chance to share the court alongside LeBron James and win the NBA championship in 2020.
The next season, Caruso moved to the Bulls, and he has stayed with the franchise synonymous with Michael Jordan ever since.
