Jimmy Butler’s highly-anticipated debut for the Golden State Warriors finally arrived on Saturday night at United Center. Stephen Curry and Butler helped power the Warriors to a dominant 132-111 win over the Chicago Bulls. After dropping their last two games, the Warriors found new life with Butler’s arrival and snapped their losing streak in convincing fashion.
With the victory, Golden State improved to a 26-26 record, moving up from 11th to 10th in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Bulls, now 22-31, remain in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference.
Jimmy Butler Shines In First Golden State Warriors Game
Jimmy Butler wasted no time making his presence felt. In 29 minutes of action, he scored 25 points, dished out four assists, and grabbed two rebounds. Butler knocked down 11 of 13 attempts. That mark put him second in Warriors history for most free throw attempts in a debut game, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain, who attempted 15 in his first outing with the team.

Beyond the game itself, Butler’s debut carried extra significance. It marked the first anniversary of his father’s passing. Butler honored his late father by wearing “Butler III” on his jersey.
Meanwhile, Curry led all scorers with 34 points. He also contributed six assists and four rebounds. Quinten Post provided a surprising boost with 18 points in just 20 minutes. Draymond Green filled the stat sheet with six points, seven assists, and four rebounds, while Buddy Hield and Brandin Podziemski chipped in with 14 and 16 points, respectively.
On the other side, the Bulls struggled to keep pace despite a strong performance from Coby White. White led the team with 27 points. Matas Buzelis added 16 points and five assists, while Josh Giddey contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Golden State is set to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday in their next game, while the Bulls will take on the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
