Last night, the United Center in Chicago was home to the “Battle of the Balls,” as Lonzo Ball’s Bulls hosted LaMelo’s Charlotte Hornets.
If you ask most NBA experts, they’ll probably tell you that LaMelo is easily the best Ball brother out there. But on this night it was Lonzo who got the last laugh, as he was the better Ball on this evening, leading his Bulls to a 133-119 victory.
The fans at the United Center certainly thought they had the better brother on their side. And they let LaMelo hear all about it, as they chanted “Lonzo’s Better” while the youngest Ball stepped up to the free-throw line.
Lonzo went 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range, putting together a very efficient 16-point, 8-assist performance in a winning effort.
As for LaMelo, while his totals were better, he wasn’t nearly as efficient, going 5-of-15 from the field and 3-of-8 from deep for 18 points, along with 13 assists and 7 rebounds.
