Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren appears to have gained some weight heading into his second NBA season and the league may be in trouble because of it.
Chet Holmgren, the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, did not play a single game in the regular season last year after a Lisfranc injury that cost him his rookie season. After missing the entire 2022–23 season due to an injury, Holmgren will finally make his long-awaited debut for the Thunder.
Fans are even more excited about him as reports state he on 13 pounds since being drafted and the pictures prove it.
The 7-foot-1 center weighed just 195 pounds after he declared for the 2022 Draft, but now weighs 208 pounds, as revealed by the Thunder’s roster sheet for the 2023 Las Vegas Summer League. His muscles are a lot more defined and it gives him a much more mature look.
Holmgren sustained a Lisfranc injury to his right foot during a run at the Seattle Pro-AM in August 2022. Oklahoma City was not going to take any chances and shut him down for the entire season, thus postponing his rookie campaign until this coming season.
Holmgren averaged 14.1 points and 9.9 rebounds for Gonzaga.
