With this result, the Clippers improved to a 28-20 record, moving up to the sixth spot in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Hornets fell to 12-33, just ahead of the 6-41 Washington Wizards in the Eastern Conference standings.

Norman Powell delivered an outstanding performance with 27 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals while shooting 11-of-15 from the field. This marked his eighth straight game, scoring at least 20 points.

Powell is now second in the NBA in fourth-quarter points, averaging 7.7 per game, trailing only Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, who averages 8.7. It was like a game to show his value, as Powell was recently left out of the All-Star selection.
Kawhi Leonard contributed 21 points and nine rebounds, while James Harden finished with 14 points and 10 assists. Ivica Zubac added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers in the win.
For Charlotte, Vasilije Micic led the team with 20 points and four assists. Miles Bridges had 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in the loss. Josh Green added 10 points, while Moussa Diabate scored 11 points in the loss.
