Charles Barkley is a man of many wild ideas. Most of them are probably best left as ideas, and nothing more. But here’s one Barkley suggestion that I actually think we all should consider.
By now you’re probably heard all about the bottle-throwing Celtics fan, who was taken away by police after throwing a water bottle at Kyrie Irving following the Nets’ Game 4 victory at Boston Garden.
After the game, as the TNT crew watched the Boston Police take the fan away in handcuffs, Barkley suggested that they “take him downstairs and let Kyrie handle that.”
If they allowed more of these athletes to hand out some retributive justice of their own (like the 2004 Pacers did during the Malice at the Palace), I can guarantee you we’d had a lot few of these fake-ass tough guys pulling crap like this.
