The good old days of Charles Barkley talking about big women in San Antonio are officially over. For the past 15 or so years, we could always count on Chuck to crack a joke or two about the big women in the city and him never getting in trouble for it.
Those days are long gone as Barkley went on the Grant & Danny show on 106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C. and revealed that he was forced to retire the jokes because of cancel culture.
“If you crack a joke the wrong way, they’re like no,no,no you crossed the line…I mean they won’t even let me talk about San Antonio anymore, when I’m always talking about their big ole’ women down in San Antonio, they’re like one lady wrote an article and I’m like first of all I didn’t call anybody personally fat in San Antonio, I was just joking around…So you’re going to let this one lady, We’ve been having fun with this for 10-15 years”
“That’s all we ever talk about behind the scenes is be careful going in this direction, I’m like yo man we can’t even have fun anymore. we’ve had fun all these years and now all of a sudden in the last year and a half everybody is trying to get everybody fired and it really sucks.”
