The biggest question mark heading into this year’s NBA Finals was the status of Kevin Durant. Would he return from a calf injury at some point and join the Warriors as they take on the Toronto Raptors? Or would he remain sidelined for the rest of the season (and possibly the rest of his tenure in Golden State)?
No one seems to know the real answer, but Charles Barkley thinks he has a good idea regarding exactly what’s going on with KD.
In short, Sir Charles seems to believe that the Warriors are “lying” and that Durant won’t be coming to save the day at any point during these finals.
If Barkley is in fact correct, it could spell big trouble for the Warriors. Sure, they’ve proven themselves capable of winning without KD in the past. But seeing how they matched up with the Raps in Game One, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having another NBA MVP at their disposal.
