As a 4x champion, 4x MVP, and 20x All-Star, LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the NBA’s all-time greatest players.
He also may be on the move once again in his career.
On “Get Up” on ESPN, NBA insider Brian Windhorst stated that the Golden State Warriors are at least keeping the door open for LeBron if he considers leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.
Windhorst explained the Warriors will “definitely monitor” James’ status in the unlikely event he desires a trade:
“The Warriors have dreamed of pairing LeBron with Steph Curry and Draymond Green since last year. They’ve made an inquiry and it got shut down last February. That was before LeBron played with Steve Kerr and Steph Curry and won the gold medal over the summer.
So, they will definitely monitor the situation, and I don’t think they do anything without knowing this door is locked, but I would just say with LeBron, it’s up to him. He has a no-trade clause, and he has given no indication he wants the Lakers to do anything but upgrade the roster they’ve got, not that he wants to go anywhere.”
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne previously reported in February that the Warriors called the Lakers in an attempt to present a trade package for LeBron James.
However, the talks did not go anywhere since neither the Lakers nor James were willing to explore a trade.

Warriors governor Joe Lacob made the call amid “encouragement” from Draymond Green.
Fans got a taste of what a team of them would look like after James and Stephen Curry played together on Team USA at the Olympics this summer.
As of now, LeBron’s two-year, $101.4 million contract with the Lakers includes a full no-trade clause.
He has stated he wants to end his career with the team, but the Lakers have fallen to eighth in the Western Conference standings thanks to losing seven of their last nine games.
Meanwhile, the Warriors, who were expected to have a down year, are fifth in the Western Conference with a 14-9 record.
Stephen A. Smith Says LeBron James “Doesn’t Deserve” To Play With Stephen Curry
Stephen A. Smith says LeBron James doesn’t deserve to be a teammate of Stephen Curry.
James trade rumors are ramping up this season, and some believe that the Golden State Warriors could be on play to make a move for him.
In a recent segment on First Take — Stephen A. Smith explained why James doesn’t deserve the opportunity to take his talents to the Warriors.
“I don’t want to see it because LeBron James does not deserve it,” said Stephen A. Smith on ‘First Take’ with Shannon Sharpe. “LeBron James does not deserve to be with Steph Curry, and here’s why…”
Stay yo a– right there in LA… You had a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, you had a Kyle Kuzma, you had a Montrezl Harrell, you had an Alex Caruso and what did you do? You let all those cats go away cause you wanted your boy Russell Westbrook.
He did not look good with the Lakers, and you [LeBron James] wanted that. A lot of times we get caught up in the greatness of LeBron as an individual player, that we don’t pay enough attention to the power of his influence and the moves that he compels the team to make.”
