Pierce opens up about his side of the beef with Draymond Green
Recently NBA Icon Paul Pierce appeared on the Draymond Show where he addressed the viral beef moment with the Warriors star. The incident happened in a nationally televised game between the Lakers and the Warriors. Pierce was traded to the Lakers and was spending the last days of his career with the Purple and Gold. During the match, Green’s words were caught by the Basket microphone. He outright tried to hurt Paul’s feelings by telling him that the Laker nation did not love him and that he was no Kobe, so he should not dream of a farewell like him.
Pierce addressed the viral moment on Green’s podcast and told his side of the story. “You said what you said, right? To be honest, I did not hear what you said. People do not know this, but the microphone under the basket picks up everything… Honestly, I did not even know what you said until after the game. I was looking at my Twitter and was like, ‘Oh, damn! He went back at me,” said Pierce. He highlighted that he did not clearly understand what Green said at that moment and got to know about it once he went back from the game.

You thought you were Kobe?” Green said to Pierce during a nationally televised Lakers vs Warriors match. These statements of Green quickly caught the attention of news outlets and were featured in many headlines. Neither of the players ever came out to clear the situation or shed some light on it, until recently when Pierce appeared on Green’s show.
