Boston Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum has just completed his seventh year in the NBA, leading Boston to its 18th championship. This victory was significant for Tatum, as he celebrated this milestone with his young son, Deuce. While Deuce is still too young to be considered a potential basketball player, Tatum recently shared a playful player comparison for his son.
Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan Anthony, asked Tatum about his son’s NBA comparison.
“He like a stretch, he’s gonna be a stretch 4. He’s gonna be a little Porzingis,” the highest-paid NBA player replied.
Off the court, Tatum is a devoted dad to Deuce, who frequently appears with him during press conferences and other significant NBA events. Deuce’s most notable appearance was after this year’s Celtics’ championship win. He bound onto the court at Boston’s TD Garden to hug his dad and share the joyous moment of victory.
Celtics’ Tatum Remains Confident Despite Rivals’ Offseason Trades
The Boston Celtics’ opponent in this year’s NBA finals, the Dallas Mavericks, has already strengthened its roster with Klay Thompson. In addition, the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers also showed notable movements during free agency.
Till now, the Celtics could not bring star power to their roster during this free agency. Nevertheless, despite the opponents’ big moves, Jayson Tatum is not bothered at all.

“I see all the changes and people switching teams, and obviously teams are getting better, and that’s every offseason. You’ve gotta have an appropriate fear or respect for your opponent. You don’t ever want to disrespect who you’re playing,” he told the “7PM In Brooklyn With Carmelo Anthony & The Kid Metro” podcast.
“But with that being said, we won. Like, when you win a championship, you get to talk how you want to talk, respectfully. They’ve got to go through us,” Tatum added.
