Just like in 2020, much of the nation have been in a state of high tensions regarding racially motivated police brutality.
Derek Chauvin was under trial and given a guilty verdict for killing George Floyd last year. At the same time that was happening, the attention would be making its way to Columbus, Ohio where an officer could be seen gunning down a 16-year-old girl after she was brandished a knife in a fight with two other women.
LeBron seemed to make a statement condemning the cop for shooting her, but got criticized for his words as he would soon delete his post.
Candace Owens is an outspoken Conservative speaker who has criticized athletes before in the past. Owens questioned how LeBron hasn’t lost his sponsors for his tweet: “If America was a country that believed in justice, Lebron James would be stripped of all of his sponsorships.”

In the video posted above, Owens says that she is ” physically disgusted by LeBron James” after he called for justice for Ma’Khia Bryant.
“I think LeBron James should have all of his sponsorships taken from him for putting the face of a heroic police officer and saying ‘your next’ and doubling down, saying this girl deserves justice,” Owens said.
“If a black officer had shot a white officer and saved the life of white person” and someone had done what James did, they would have had all their sponsorships taken but that won’t happen to James “because of black privilege,” Owens lamented.
