The Chicago Bulls faced the Atlanta Hawks as their first opponents in the Play-In Tournament. Bulls star Coby White shone in the game, helping his team secure a much-needed win to keep their playoff dream alive.
He even equaled franchise legend Michael Jordan in a franchise record no other Bulls player had ever achieved. Coby White became the only Chicago Bulls player other than Michael Jordan to score 40+ points, provide 5+ assists, and have zero turnovers in a regular season or playoffs/play-in game.
Coby White has been a crucial player for the modern-day Bulls and has proven his worth over the years. He scored a career-high 42 points against the Hawks, helping his team qualify for the next round of the Play-In tournament while knocking out the Hawks.
White set another record with his performance on Wednesday night. His career-high 42 points mark the second-most points any player in a Play-In tournament scored. The Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum holds the first position; who scored 50 points in the 2020-21 Play-In games against the Washington Wizards.
