On Tuesday, basketball fans experienced an intense game between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Warriors secured a 124-106 victory over the Pelicans at the Chase Center thanks to guard Buddy Hield’s stellar performance.
Hield delivered a remarkable display of skills after halftime, scoring 28 points, one assist, and one rebound in just 29 minutes of play. He credited his stellar performance to a private conversation with Reggie Miller, who advised him to “let it fly” during halftime. In a post-game interview, Hield highlighted Miller’s encouragement as a key factor in his performance.
“Send him this suit to blank them all. You know when sometimes when somebody like that comes up and I was plotting well, thank god. He told me to shoot the f*cking ball.” Hield said.
With star player Stephen Curry out for several games due to a left ankle sprain, Hield stepped up to take on more responsibility. He validated the head coach’s assertion in a recent interview that the team can still perform strongly in Curry’s absence.

In the season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers, the guard scored 22 points, making five three-pointers and grabbing five rebounds in just 15 minutes off the bench, contributing to the Warriors’ 139–104 victory.
In the following game, he scored 27 points, hitting seven three-pointers in a 127–86 win over the Utah Jazz. During a recent interview about his outstanding performances with the Warriors, Hield praised the team’s roster.

“We love playing basketball with each other… we around each other more than our families so we gotta like each other. We gotta figure it out. It’s coming together for the greater good. No matter who’s scoring the most points. Just getting stops and winning.” Hield said.
Fans are likely to find it fascinating to see more of Buddy Hield take the spotlight, especially with star player Curry expected to miss several games due to injury.
