Buddy Hield has found a fresh start with the Golden State Warriors after being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers in July as part of a six-team deal. The move came just days before the Warriors bid farewell to veteran star Klay Thompson, who joined the Dallas Mavericks. Meanwhile, Hield has seamlessly integrated into the Warriors’ system and quickly established himself as a key performer.
Since joining the Warriors, Hield has embraced his role, and the team has welcomed him with open arms. Following the Warriors’ 114-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Hield reflected on how being part of the Warriors has reignited his passion for the game.
“Coming here, Steph and Steve reaching out to me in free agency, just communicating. Everybody putting their arms around me and trying to help me get back to my old self. They are so unselfish. They make the right play; they play the way I want to play. On and off the court, they are a great group of guys to be around,” Hield said.
"Last year I didn't have that love [for basketball]… We wanted to find a team that I can feel appreciated and loved… They are so unselfish."

“I haven’t won yet in this league, so being around these guys, you want to learn how to win, how to do things,” he added.
Buddy Hield Hopes To Achieve His Championship Dream With The Warriors
Buddy Hield entered the NBA in 2016, and while he has enjoyed a successful career, he has yet to win an NBA title. However, after joining the Golden State Warriors this season, Hield is hoping to finally achieve that dream.
“Just being here, I’m being a sponge and keeping my eyes open. I’m just learning their championship ways and championship habits every day. It’s not going to be pretty, but the main objective is to win games and have fun doing it,” Hield said.
