The Philadelphia 76ers star Buddy Hield will finally be playing the first playoff game of his career after the Sixers beat the Miami Heat on Wednesday. In doing so, he will break the longest streak for a player not making the playoffs in the NBA.
Hield, an 8-year veteran from Oklahoma, has never had the opportunity to make it to the playoffs in his entire career. He has played for the New Orleans Pelicans, the Sacramento Kings, and the Indiana Pacers but has never actually experienced the NBA postseason.

Buddy Hield went 632 games in his career without making the playoffs. Now that he has broken the streak, the title he previously held belongs to Lauri Markkanen for the longest-ongoing streak. The Utah Jazz star has played 403 games in the NBA, and not one has been in the postseason. It is disappointing to hold such a title, but Lauri has no choice but to wait for the Jazz to make the playoffs next season.
