The Milwaukee Bucks might have to play without their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, against the Indiana Pacers. The Bucks will be facing the Pacers in a playoff series, and the situation doesn’t look very good for them.
Giannis Antetokoumpo has been a critical player for the Bucks this season. The Greek Freak singlehandedly carried his team for the majority of the season. Bucks’ recruit Damian Lillard has been a practical addition to the squad, but Giannis remains the franchise’s most important player.
It was recently reported that the Bucks’ ace will be missing out on the game 1 action against Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers. As per NBA Insider Shams Charania, Giannis’ status for the first game against the Pacers remains doubtful. “He’s (Giannis Antetokounmpo) very much up in the air for Game 1,” wrote Charania.
The Greek Freak injured himself in his game against the Boston Celtics. He missed the last three games of the regular season for the Bucks. Antetokounmpo has been averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists this season. He is a crucial asset for the Bucks; the entire team feels his absence. The fans hope for his speedy recovery while they await the first game against the Pacers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn’t care about winning his third MVP award
Recently, Giannis Antetokoumpo interviewed Sam Ammick from the Athletic. The Greek Freak stunned the world when he won back-to-back MVP awards in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. In his interview, the Bucks star revealed he did not care about winning his third MVP award.

“If I ask my wife, ‘Babe, am I MVP of this league?’ She will say, ‘Babe, you are MVP of my heart. I do not care.’ If I ask my brothers, they say, ‘We are the MVP of life. We do not care.’ I will never in my life, drop into the bubble and say, ‘Yeah, I am the MVP of the league’ and whine or cry ‘Give it to me. I deserve it more.’ That is not what I do, man,” said Giannis. He highlighted that he did not care about winning an award. For him, the opinions of his family members matter more than any award.
