The Phoenix Suns had a disheartening Sunday night as their season came to an end at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The big trio of Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker also couldn’t save their team from this misfortune.
Now Stephen A. Smith has reported that Suns star Devin Booker might want to try his luck somewhere else. He recently revealed that Booker wants to join the New York Knicks after facing a disappointing sweep this season.
“He (Devin Booker) might deny it, I haven’t spoken to him. I am just telling you the scuttlebutt in the NBA circles is that brother wanna be in New York,” said Smith. Smith’s comments do not confirm Booker’s current status on the team. The ESPN analyst himself said that he hadn’t talked to Booker and was sourcing his comments through rumors going on in the community.
Smith is not the most reputed when it comes to talking about trade and move rumors. However, the possibility of the four-time All-Star leaving the Suns is not unlikely. Booker could file a trade request at the Suns’ front office if he decided to go for a move. The Suns are already stacked with some big names, and Booker leaving to lead a team of his own is a situation we can see in the future.
