Kevin Durant requesting a trade from the Brooklyn Nets has turned the NBA upside down. The news of his request came hours before the beginning of NBA free agency and just a few days after his fellow star in Brooklyn, Kyrie Irving, opted into his contract for the 2022-23 season.
The Brooklyn Nets’ asking price for Kevin Durant has finally been revealed.
The Nets want “at least two All-Stars” in exchange for Durant, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reported Thursday on SportsCenter.
Per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Durant’s preferred destination is the Phoenix Suns, while Wojnarowski adds the Miami Heat and the Suns are among the teams on Durant’s wish list.

Nets general manager Sean Marks is working with Durant and his agent, Rich Kleiman, on trades, reports Wojnarowski. The Nets will try and recoup just about everything they lost when they traded for James Harden in the Houston deal and more.
Durant joined the Nets via a sign-and-trade deal in the summer of 2019 and signed a contract extension with the team last offseason. He is under contract through the 2025-26 season. Last season, he averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game while playing in 55 games.
Durant spent three seasons with Brooklyn, not playing in the first of those years while he recovered from a torn Achilles.
