Kevin Durant is arguably the best player in the NBA right now. So it makes sense that the Brooklyn Nets would want quite the return if they were to trade the two-time NBA Finals MVP.
However, it may be fair to say that the Nets are asking for a little too much in exchange for the 33-year-old superstar.
It was previously reported that the Nets would play hardball with any possible trade partners, as they are believed to be unwilling to move Durant unless they get exactly what they want in return.
So what exactly do they want? When it comes to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the price for KD is apparently a package that includes Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and four draft picks.
Towns, 26, was the first overall pick in 2015. He’s made three NBA All-Star games in his first seven seasons and is beginning to establish himself as one of the most dominant big men in the league.

As for Edwards, he’s headed into his third NBA season after getting selected first overall in 2020. The 20-year-old guard had a breakout performance in the playoffs this season, where he averaged 25.2 points across six games.
As great as Durant may be, that’s a lot to give up in exchange for a player who could be entering that “past-his-prime” stage of his career any day now.
