If you live in America, then you’ve become way too comfortable seeing images and videos of schools being shot up by other kids. Violence in school is not new, but it has gotten worse over the years.
We’ve seen a number of shooting scares at high school football games this year, and now basketball is dealing with it as well.
Fans packed a gym in Maryland on Saturday to see Bronny James and his Sierra Canyon teammates take on local powerhouse DeMatha Catholic in the “DMV Showcase” preseason event.
The night turned very scary as the game would end prematurely with players and spectators alike rushing out of the gym. Apparently, a fight in the stands turned to somebody yelling ‘gun.’
DeMatha was leading 52-51 against Sierra Canyon when that fight broke out. What remains unclear is if a gun was actually presented, but it caused enough commotion to clear out the entire gym.
