The Los Angeles Lakers selected LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, as the 55th pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft. The 19-year-old shooting guard received a $7.9 million contract soon after his selection.
Bronny made his professional debut in the NBA summer league, playing for the Lakers. However, Bronny didn’t get off to a great start in his professional career as the team struggled, losing their first four games in the league.
Despite the on-court setbacks, Bronny achieved success off the court during the NBA summer league. He participated in the Call of Duty Summer League activation and competed in the CoD’s two-minute drill contest. The former USC Trojans guard emerged victorious in a “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” competition during the Las Vegas Summer League. In the challenge, Bronny outperformed Charlotte Hornets guard Grant Williams by scoring a total of 84 points in a two-minute fitness challenge, securing the win.
As a result, Bronny was awarded a custom-made Call of Duty championship belt and a $10,000 prize. It is notable that in 2023, Jaylin Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder emerged as the winner of the same event.
Bronny James Reveals His Top NBA Legends, Including a Familiar Name
During a recent interview with ESPN, Bronny was asked about his picks for the five greatest players of all time in NBA history. The 19-year-old shooting guard named some active players in the NBA, including his father, LeBron James, as the first on his list. However, he skipped some essential legendary players that mostly come on the list of other players. Bronny didn’t include legendary players Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan in his list.
LeBron one, Steph two, Kyrie three, KD four, and I have Ant and Shai tied at the five. Bronny said during his interview with ESPN.
