Zion Williamson has undergone surgery for a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee and will miss six to eight weeks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
The routine debridement was performed by Dr. Jason Folk with assistance from Team Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Misty Suri.
The New Orleans Pelicans were encouraged that the injury was not worse for Williamson.
The first overall draft pick is expected to come back 100% and be ready at some point during the 2019-2020 season.
