Christian Wood appears to be doing well after contracting the coronavirus.
It was back on March 14th when we learned he had tested positive for COVID-19, the only player on the Detroit Pistons to have gotten it.
According to agent Adam Pensack — Wood is “feeling great and fully recovered.”
“A source familiar with the situation said Wood has to pass a few medical tests and is expected to be cleared Thursday.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to officially speak about Wood or his medical condition.”
He was the third player to test positive for the virus after the first two came by way of the Utah Jazz.
The NBA wound up suspending the season after Rudy Gobert became the first athlete in a major sport in the United States to get the virus. It has since led to multiple players and staff contracting the disease since then.
According to the World Heath Organization, the median recovery time for mild cases of COVID-19 is about two weeks; it is three to six weeks for severe or critical cases.
