For weeks, there have been rumors that Luke Walton would not be brought back to the Lakers after a tumultuous 1st season with LeBron James on the season.

President of Basketball operations Magic Johnson was supposed to deliver this news, but he elected to part ways suddenly with the franchise a few days ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Luke Walton have mutually agreed to part ways.
