On Wednesday, Kevin Durant officially became an unrestricted free agent after declining his $31.5 million player option with the Golden State Warriors.
Durant has been widely expected to become a free agent well before his Achilles injury and even after it.
He is currently in New York with agent Rich Kleiman and they are said to be be weighing his his free agency options.
The Knicks and Nets are the two teams that have been heavily linked to Durant this offseason.
