Such sad news in the NBA world after news dropped that former Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan passed away.
Jerry Sloan passed away at the age of 78 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia.
Former Jazz star Karl Malone appeared on a Zoom call earlier this week and revealed that Sloan “is not doing well,” and asked for prayers.
“I need to say this because I know that (John) Stockton and I have been talking a lot recently,” Malone said. “Coach (Jerry) Sloan is not doing well, so I want you guys to pray for coach Sloan.”
He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2009.
Sloan finished his career with the third most wins in NBA history, sixth best winning percentage, two NBA Finals appearances, and seven division titles.
