Recent reports by NBA insider and analyst for ‘The Athletic’ Shams Charania suggest that Bronny James, son of LeBron James, is expected to participate in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old has been cleared to play in the league by the Fitness to Play panel and will participate in all pre-draft activities, starting with the Draft Combine this week.
Notably, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a game last year and was immediately admitted to the hospital. After evaluation by a doctor, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and has been in the recovery phase since then.
“Bronny James is expected to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft. The USC freshman has been fully cleared to play in the league as part of the Fitness to Play panel and will participate in all pre-draft activities starting with the Draft Combine this week.” Shams Charania wrote in his post on X (previously Twitter).
James made an official declaration for the NBA Draft 2024 a few weeks ago, with the additional information that he could return to college basketball. After announcing his medical test results, it is clear that the 19-year-old will be playing in the NBA next season.
