The New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram has suffered an injury in his latest game. He was seen leaving the court mid-match and later on, it was announced that he won’t be making a return.
It is a great blow to the Pelicans as Ingram has been a consistent performer for them. His performances in the recent games have been great alongside Zion Williamson. The Pelicans are yet to think of a strategy without him and it will be interesting to see them go ahead not having him.
Brandon Ingram MRI shows latest update on his injury
In the game against the Orlando Magic, the Pelicans star Brandon Ingram suffered a knee injury which will keep him out for some time. He suffered the injury while making a defensive play, he was retreating to the paint to stop a drive from the Magic. Ingram had to leave the court immediately with the support of his teammates after that defensive attempt. He headed to the locker room after which it was announced that he won’t be returning to the court.
An MRI was scheduled for Ingram and the results have arrived. The MRI revealed a bone contusion in Ingram’s left knee. He will go through a rehab process and will be evaluated after two weeks. There has been no official announcement by the Pelicans about his return but it is expected that he will be out for at least two weeks until he is evaluated.
Ingram expected to miss couple games
Brandon Ingram is expected to be out for at least two weeks and will miss a couple of games for the Pelicans. For those two weeks, the Pelicans will have played six games and Ingram will not be back for them. It will be tough for the Pelicans to make do without him in those games. However, the head coach of the Pelicans is expected to deal with the current circumstances.

The Pelicans will be facing the Miami Heat, the Detroit Pistons, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Boston Celtics, and the Phoenix Suns in their upcoming six matches respectively. These are tough matches against tough opponents and it will be interesting to see how the Pelicans will manage to do it without one of their top performances. Brandon Ingram was averaging 20.9 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.1 rebounds this season and was a great partner to the franchise’s star Zion Williamson.
