During the offseason, there was a strong rumor going around involving the Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets talking about a potential John Wall-for-Russell Westbrook swap.
Bill Simmons added to it this week when he stated Wizards star Bradley Beal was the one pushing for Westbrook to come aboard.
“I thought Westbrook was going to Washington. And I had heard that Bradley Beal was driving the Westbrook thing and that they were actually going to include a pick potentially and it wasn’t just a one-for-one that they were actually putting in more.”
Beal hasn’t spoken out about the rumor, but his wife certainly is.
Kamiah Adams-Beal took to Twitter and dismiss the news:
Last season, Beal averaged career-best numbers of 30.5 points and 6.1 assists along with 4.2 rebounds in 57 appearances for the team.
