LeBron James added yet another accomplishment to his growing off-the-court resume: part-owner of a Major League Baseball team.
Michael Silverman of the Boston Globe reported that LeBron longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter are set to join Fenway Sports Group as partners.
“By becoming a partner in FSG, the Los Angeles Lakers star also will become a part-owner of the Red Sox as well as other FSG subsidiaries, including NESN, Roush Fenway Racing, and Fenway Sports Management,” Silverman said in his report.
When this news came out, Boston Red Sox fans lost their minds for several reasons. The fan base also cheers for the Celtics and have hated LeBron since his Cavaliers days. Also, the Lakers star is known for wearing a Yankees cap, who is the team’s most hated rival.
