The Eastern Conference Finals series clash between the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers might appear anything but a challenging one by only looking at the 4-0 series result in favor of the Cs, but the Indies did give a tough fight as explained by Celtics’ superstar Jaylen Brown.
Following the Game 4 series-clinching win, Brown showered heaps of praise for their opponents, stating, “I know people think that Indiana wasn’t a good team or whatever the case may be, but I thought they were as tough as anybody we played all season… So shout out to them and respect to them.”
This is not the first time the swingman commended the Pacers. Brown shared similar views after Game 3 when he was caught off-guard by the Indiana team.
The Celtics entered the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday to snatch another win that could confirm their tickets for the NBA Finals and went on for it. Though they started off steadily, Indiana soon caught up with the pace, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Cs and the night ended with a 105-102 win for Boston.
The Celtics stood out in the series thanks majorly to Jaylen Brown’s contribution, which earned him praise alongside a glorious reward.

After being honored with the ECF MVP title on Monday, Brown said in the post-game presser, “I wasn’t expecting it at all. I never win s**t. I was just happy that we won.”
The 3-time All-Star showcased his outstanding skills in the regular season as well, but couldn’t find a spot in the All-NBA Team. Brown mentioned that it didn’t bother him and all he was focused on was winning it big with the team. Now that they have reached the Finals, Brown and Co. are focused on only one thing and that is to bring the NBA Championship back to Boston.
