Jared McCain is relishing the best time of his life representing his new NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers, in the Summer League. Things might not have been all smooth for the Philly side, but the youngster did not fail to impress with his overall performance. After enjoying three outings with the franchise, the combo guard shared his experience.
“It’s a blessing to be here, man. It’s a blessing to watch Summer League since I was a kid. So then playing it was very surreal for me. I just had to learn as much as possible, have fun with it, of course, and just be myself out there on the board“, McCain said.
The former Duke appears to be enjoying his time with his new teammates and showing glimpses of his true potential in every game. McCain added an average of 9.7 points coupled with 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and a steal per game to his name.
From his first California Classic game, McCain has remained on his toes and was excited to begin his journey on the bigger stage. Facing a fellow Duke in a thrilling battle added to his amazing experience.
Looking at Jared McCain’s Performance Against Pistons
Jared McCain had a huge obstacle in his way, the Pistons’ Wendell Moore Jr., who didn’t let the 3-pointer specialist do what he does best.
McCain managed to hit a shot from the 3-point range out of the six he attempted. His four shots from the floor were also not that impressive, ending in 4-for-14. However, he finished with better numbers than Moore and helped his team win by 94-81.
