Blake Griffin is truly a Detroit Pistons player now!
On Saturday, the Pistons star made his first return to Staples Center since being traded from the team back in January 2018. This sudden trade came on the heels of the franchise giving him a five-year, $175 million max extension. To make matters worse, that was after showering him with video tributes and making up t-shirts that compared Griffin with the likes of Martin Luther King, Muhammad Ali, John F. Kennedy and Albert Einstein as part of their recruiting pitch.
There is clearly no love lost there and Griffin showed on Saturday. During pre-game warm-ups, Ballmer stood on the sidelines as Blake finished getting shots so he could shake his hand.
Blake had other ideas as he took off towards the locker room instead.
