Zion Williamson’s absence from the court has extended far longer than expected, as the New Orleans Pelicans star has yet to return since suffering a hamstring injury during a November loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. This prolonged injury absence has sparked speculation about his future, with rumors circulating that Williamson might part ways with the Pelicans.
As the speculation intensifies, NBA analyst Bill Simmons recently weighed in on the potential future of Zion Williamson. On his podcast, Simmons expressed his belief that a change of scenery could benefit Williamson.
Simmons singled out two potential landing spots for the 23-year-old forward: the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. According to Simmons, both teams would be ideal destinations for Zion to thrive.
“To me, he has to go to an awesome organization that will put really some weight, love, and care into this. And to me, it’s Miami or San Antonio,” Simmons said.
Simmons also touched on the potential ripple effect of Zion joining the Spurs, noting the impact it could have on the league. “If San Antonio traded for Zion, guess what the reaction in the league would be. Oh sh**. Wemby and Zion? Oh no.” Simmons added.

Despite his injury woes, when he has been on the floor this season, Williamson has still posted impressive numbers. In the six games he played, he averaged 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.
